The advertising for local bands, regional acts and national tours all use the same form, and our telephone poles reflect a rich history of performances that have graced local stages.

Where do all of the posters, flyers and images go? Formal kiosks are cleaned and old images are removed but the most interesting historical records exist when bands simply staple over each others images.

Some flyers do not stay on the poles long enough to be stapled over. Some do not even remain until the performance itself.

Although con/temp had originally proposed an exhibition of these posters, we are now pleased to withdraw this proposal as an option for a future exhibition--IceHouse Gallery and Lexington Arts and Cultural Council have both had similar exhibitions since our original proposal.

Both of these Lexington galleries clearly sensed the same need for this exhibition that was recognized by con/temp.
