Bill Santen has joined con/temp as a primary participant in this project. He has already read through much of the poetry and started composing new music using the ideas and words of the homeless authors.

All of the poetry used for inspiration in this project was created by homeless people connected with the Drop Inn Center of Over-the-Rhine. A majority of the finished, powerful writing inspiring this project was created by people in the voluntary rehabilitation program at the Drop Inn Center. Participants in this program work with writers from InkTank to develop their voice--as a path to self-advocacy and recovery.

con/temp is currently seeking more regional musicians for this project. The final goal is to release a cd with 8-9 original songs created in response to the works of these homeless authors.

Updates will be posted here as the project progresses.
