Purpose

Transylvania’s campus ministries are committed to supporting the College’s liberal arts mission and its ongoing affiliation with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). The College continually strives to provide an ecumenical and inter-faith pastoral presence that appropriately engages the entire Transylvania community. To accomplish this, the office of the Campus Minister advocates faith-based activities, participates in the life of the denomination, and seeks opportunities for Transylvania students and staff to also be involved. Our campus ministries provide opportunities and encourage programming that invites students to inter-relate their education, religious tradition, and spirituality, as a means to inform their identity.
