The mission of the Economics Department at Transylvania University is to provide students with a strong foundation in economic theory and applications; to encourage our students to use economic theory with quantitative methods to conduct applied research; and to prepare them for graduate study as well as for careers in business or government.

Omicron Delta Epsilon (The International Economics Honor Society) The Rara Avis Award in Economics is presented every year to a junior or senior Economics major for outstanding scholarship in Economics. |
