Philanthropy

Philanthropy is a very important part of a Phi Mu's life.  In our creed, we pledge "To lend to those less fortunate a helping hand" and "To minister to the needy and unfortunate."  Phi Mu is dedicated to living this pledge.  From our national philanthropy, the Children's Miracle Network, to our local philanthropy, and everything in between, our chapter actively makes a difference in our community.

As sisters, we have spent several hundred hours volunteering during the school year.  Every sister gives at least four hours of philanthropic service each semester, though many give much, much, more of their time.  Phi Mu's can be seen around campus and around Lexington volunteering in all aspects of society.  As a chapter, we have raised money for the annual Big Brothers/Big Sisters Bowl for Kids Sake bowl-a-thon, collected cans and preformed in the annual Chi Omega Campus Sing program, and given time to many different charities.
