Recruitment

Phi Kappa Tau is constantly looking for individuals who possess various qualities to make our fraternity more well-rounded.  It has often been said that if someone asked us what stereotypical Phi Tau is, we would not be able to give a response.  The truth is that there is not set mold for our members.  We pride ourselves in being one of the most diverse groups on campus.

You will find our members being active in various student organizations and extra-curricular activities.  We come from various backgrounds, including races, religions, financial status, regions, and even countries.  We also hold our members to high moral and academic standards, and we believe that it is a responsibility of ours not to change our new members but help encompass the "total man concept" in their lives.

Recruitment is a process by which our undergraduate members decide who will be the men they would most like to have as future members. During this time, prospective members are deciding which fraternity they would most likely want to be a part of.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Phi Kappa Tau right for me?
Each person looks for different aspects of a particular fraternity. Our chapter is more
focused toward academics, athletics, charities, and social aspects of college life to make more well-rounded members. Phi Kappa Tau feels that it is important to keep an open mind about other fraternities and to decide which one best meets your needs and interests.

How should I act during recruitment?
Be yourself.  During this time, we are wanting to know what you are really like.  The only way to create a strong bond with a group of brothers is to be yourself and let them get to know you for who you truly are.

What do I need to know before joining?
Make sure you know our financial and academic requirements. If you have any questions about your obligations as an associate or undergraduate member, feel free to ask our recruitment chair or officers related to scholarship, membership education, philanthropic affairs, and treasury. Any of these men are able to answer any questions you may have about membership in their respective areas.
