“The life we live today determines the legacy we leave tomorrow”
The sisters of Delta Delta Delta recognize the importance of giving and actively participating in various philanthropy events each year. The Beta Zeta chapter strongly supports its national philanthropy-- children's cancer research. Specifically, Tri Delta enjoys a partnership with St. Jude Children's Cancer Research Hospital through which the sorority does volunteer work and fundraising.
MLK Neighborhood Cleanup
For the month of January, Beta Zeta assisted in delivery safety kits to the elderly at Christ's Church Apartments, Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Since the national adoption of our philanthropy in 1974, Tri-Deltas across the country have raised over $7,000,000 for cancer research. Additionally, Beta Zeta chapter participates in other local service projects, including Race for the Cure, Cardinal Hill Medical Rehabilitation Hospital, and area neighborhood cleanups.
Additionally, Beta Zeta supports the Delta Delta Delta Foundation, an organization which includes programs to support leadership development, scholarships, and financial assistance to alumnae. Delta Delta Delta's philanthropy program teaches its members to serve others, thereby helping to develop "a stronger and more womanly character" for each collegiate member.
Water Wars
One of Tri Delta's biggest events is the annual Water Wars fundraiser in the Campus Center Pool. Water Wars raises money campus wide for children's cancer research. It features great participation from all Greek groups on campus. Events include wacky races such as a clothes relay, smallest splash competition, and a belly flop contest. Pictures from the 2008 event are above. Last year, over $2,000 was raised for both charities.

Delta Dash
In October, Beta Zeta hosts a 5K run/walk to raise money for St. Jude. The event is in its third year. We raised over $5,000 this year.
Former Beta Zeta philanthropy chair Jill Jones presents Courtney Burge, a St. Jude representative, with a $20,000 check for the Children's Research Hospital on behalf of Tri Delta's Centennial fundraising efforts.
